I start the game 1. I click on "To the trains" in the Home menu 2. I click on "Choose a route". 3. Now I search and find the route I want to play, and click. 4. I select "Timetable". 5. I search and find the loco I want to play, and click. 6. I select the livery. 7. I choose a service. 8. I set the date and weather and hit on "Getting started". 9. Service loads in. But once I'm in, I realize I don't want to take this service at this time of day, in this season or with these weather conditions. I exit the service now, go back to the main menu and need to do the steps 1. to 6. all again, although I just want to take a different service but not a different route, loco or livery. Why? Therefore I would like to suggest that the Pause menu would have an entry beside "Restart" which saves time and gets me immediately to the available services for the setup loco and route again, with the route, loco and livery I choose before, but gives me the option to immediately go back to step 7.) change the service, time of day, date and weather without going through the process in the main menu again.
I’ve thought of this idea in the past as well. Would be nice to see as I often go into services that are either too dark at night or don’t have the right weather. 1 like for me!
Quite often I start a service then realise I don't want to drive it, or get so far into it before not wanting to continue. When you finish a service, you get the option to return to timetable, would be nice to have this option without the need to complete a service first.
as I once suggested, for me it would be helpful if somehow the services showed stuff like what kind of consist you are going to drive... lets say a service with 146.2 can have just dostos, or it can be sandwich formation (where you need to turn Banking COMM on) etc... or you want to drive a double traction ICE3... like ok, sometimes you can guess by the service, approx. length etc., but it would be nice if we had this kind of info before loading
