With a route length just shy of 55 miles, this route would offer the opportunity for the player to drive the LNWR branded Class 350 'Desiro' on a mixture of local, semi fast and express services all over this route, as well as some other express services with the TfW liveried Class 158 'Express Sprinter' and steel traind around Wolverhampton with DB Class 60s. Proposed Rolling Stock Class 158 in Transport for Wales livery These units provide an hourly service to Birmingham International alternating each hour between Aberystwyth and Holyhead as the destination, with these services stopping at Sandwell & Dudley and Birmingham New St inbetween. These services often run with a pair of 158s, though occasionally they do run with a solo 158. Class 350 in LNWR liveries There are currently just over 10 350s that are still remaining in the old London Midland livery. The 350/2s are all painted in the lower livery, with all other subclasses being in the first displayed livery. The units work local services from Rugeley to Birmingham Int'l which only stop at Tame Bridge Pkwy between Walsall & New St before then stopping all stops from New St to Int'l. The Walsall to Wolverhampton services stop at every station along the route, with the Liverpool - Birmingham only stopping at Smethwick Galton Bridge en route, with the New St - Euston running non stop to Int'l. Class 60 + BYA wagons in DB Schenker livery There are currently 7 services pathed into Wolverhampton Steel Terminal on the average weekday, with these services detailed here; https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/se...23-11-02/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt Most of these services can be expected for Class 60 haulage, though 66s can occasionally swap in. The Class 60 would also be used to populate Bescot Yard from time to time as well as making an appearance on trip workings from Toton. Layered Services Class 66: The Class 66 would make itself busy on all of the other freight movements on this route (well in excess of 100 trains a day.) in addition to the RHTT workings. Class 323: These faithful units would make themselves busy running to and from Soho depot, with X City services from New St to Aston also being drivable in game.
I like this idea but could a 390 awc not run on this route? Would be so much better with a pendolino/voyager in Avanti livery.
It would run on this route, but I thought it would be better to prioritise a freight loco for this route as the UK still only has a Class 66 for all of its freight services.
I'd love this it's my local route and I've always wanted to drive on it would love a 170 with a 153 coupled up
This is a fantastic suggestion, I myself have suggested the Chase Line before and it was quite popular so I think the Chase Line is a must-have in TSW. It's nice to see that you have added the section to Wolverhampton and the TfW Class 158 to make the route feel more complete
