Checkpoints On Gen 8 Xbox One

Hi,
I’ve heard that there are checkpoints for when you SPAD or derail, but when I do this (after completing tasks like stopping at stations and loading passengers) all I get is:
Continue Journey
Replay service
Return to main menu

No resume from checkpoint button.
Are checkpoints a PC only thing?

there’s save that’s the closet thing, but it doesn’t work the last time I tried it on xbox

 

i have always not used the save feature seems to cause problems then help me in all honesty

 

same, had instances where all lights go red or brake cylinders are permanently full, when using save, among other issues

 

The checkpoints are disabled because of the lower performance on Xbox One. I believe it causes brief freezes every time it makes a checkpoint. I get into the habit of saving halfway through in case the game crashes.
