So as we all know TSW5 is up and running and so many companies such as Dovetail Games, Skyhook Games and also Rivet Games have produced some absolute breathtaking routes and trains. As most of you are aware the ex TFW class 175 Coradia’s are off to GWR. I would love to see a route that I travelled on many times when the 175 Coradia’s were in use with TFW, that being Chester-Holyhead. The route itself is around 1 hour 36 minutes. The rolling stock? Definitely the class 175 Coradia but also I think the TFW class 158 Express Sprinter along with the 150/2. Although Avanti West Coast run on this route as well players can use the LNER class 801 and design or use an Avanti West Coast livery to simulate the AWC timetables. The class 175 Coradia’s were a huge part of my life and they still are. I remember waking up super early and my mum used to take me to Newton-Le-Willows train station to do some trainspotting before school. Every 175 Coradia that I got to see before school gave me mega tones and friendly waves. I even remember a 175 Coradia that was at Newton-Le-Willows 20 minutes early and the driver let me sit in the cab and blow the horn, I was in tears and that’s where me and the class 175 Coradia’s formed our bonds. Dovetail Games, please work your magic as this is a route and DMU that deserves to be in TSW5. I will be more than happy to help out with any information on the DMU.

This would be a great route for TSW. Have you considered what layers could be included?

I mean along with the 175 doing Chester-Holyhead. The Colas class 56 and class 70 could be added so they can go from Chester-Chirk Kronospan on the log train, as for Avanti West Coast? The Avanti Voyager would be nice, the avanti voyager timetable could be every hour and the 175 timetable would be every 30 minutes, some will go as far as Llandudno Junction. The Chirk Kronospan freights would be at 18:00 to Chirk and then 03:00 from Chirk to Chester

North Wales Coast really deserves to be set in BR Classic era. Most of the motive power already exists, just needs a Class 25 (or maybe 24) along with some extra Mark One rolling stock and a rake of Mark Two aircons for the Euston services. I would say better than even chance JT might tackle this at some point.

plus, the devs could always debrand the Avanti livery so that it can fill in for the Cross country layer on other routes like ECML, FIFE CIRCLE, MML,GWE, etc...

This is a good idea for more variety especially as cross country now have Avanti Voyagers.

Good route idea too. I need any excuse for a voyager because that just sounds so good.

This COULD and SHOULD have been the debut Welsh route for TSW but being DTG they preferred a shorter, less interesting route to build aka Cardiff City Network. no hate to residents of Cardiff but I feel like CCN is going to be another version of Cathcart Circle
