Set in the summer of 1991, this route would feature the Chiltern Main Line south of Banbury, including the New North Main Line from South Ruislip to London Paddington as some peak time services originated from here. During this time the route was still majority semaphore signalled, and the transition between 115s and 165s well underway. This route would be a total of 80 miles long. Proposed Rolling Stock Class 47/7 in Network SouthEast livery During the transition period on the Chiltern line, Old Oak had a set of 6 Mk1s set aside as a hot spare in case of a 115 being unavailable for the day's services. Whilst I've been unable to piece together the full diagram it worked during the day, I've found pictures on Flickr of the set appearing on the 0723 Marylebone - Banbury, 0930 Banbury - Marylebone and the 1224 Marylebone - Princes Risborough. The 47 and NSE Mk1s also appeared on peak time services from Paddington to Banbury via the Chiltern Line, as well as providing AI traffic at London Paddington on services to Worcester, Hereford and Oxford as well as some player services for moves to/from Old Oak Common. Class 115 in BR Blue/Grey livery 41 of these 4car DMUs were built for use on the Great Central Main Line, then later moving onto the Chiltern lines following the Great Central's closure. The last of the units lasted until July 1992 on the Chiltern lines, with a separate batch of the class based at Tyseley lasting until Cross City electrification in 1994. Only one carriage of the class was repainted into NSE livery, with the rest of the class retaining Blue/Grey livery with the NSE chevrons on the nose until withdrawal. Class 165 in Network SouthEast livery 40 of these units were built for the Chiltern lines in 1990, with 165001-028 being 2car units and 029-039 being 3car units. The Chiltern fleet is only capable of 75mph due to lacking a yaw damper. As well as featuring on the Chiltern services, the Class 165 would provide AI traffic at London Paddington.
