Overview: The Chiltern Main Line is a 112 mile long route that runs between Birmingham Snow and London. Scenarios: Express Line (Difficulty level 2) Drive a King Class on a Paddington to Birkenhead semi-fast express as far as Birmingham Snow Hill calling at West Ruislip, High Wycombe, Banbury, Leamington Spa and Birmingham Snow Hill. Slow Journey (Difficulty level 4) Drive a autocoach from Princes Risbrough to London Paddington calling at all stations. However at late running express service means you are held at a red signal at denham whilst you wait for the train to pass. London bound (Difficulty level 2) Drive this early morning train from Aylesbury to London Marylebone calling at all stations Old Oak freight (Difficulty level 3) Drive a 28xx van train from Tyseley yard to Old Oak Common depot. Depot Shunter (difficulty level 1) Sort out wagons around Tyseley yard to make a certain formation. Couple this up to a 28xx then drive the 28xx to Birmingham Snow Hill Regional diversion (Difficulty level 3) Drive a GWR hall class from Paddington to Paddington via maidenhead from High Wycombe to London Paddington. You stop at every station except seer green and Jordans, denham golf club and greenford. However, a guard tells you that Paddington is closed for works meaning that all services to Paddington via the Chiltern Main Line are diverted to London Marylebone. Layers: All of the locomotives from my great central main line suggestion can be used on this route Class 101 (TVL or DLoTGW) can be used but it will only work if they are painted in BR green. Class 47 (WSR) can be used but n express passenger services Class 08 and 09 can be used on shunting at Old Oak Common depot and Tyseley
Go back to pre 1939 and include the short branch to Uxbridge High Street from between West Ruislip and Denham. Most people are not even aware that there was a branch here which lasted until the early 1960s for local coal trains. The station was finally demolished in the 1970s and is now a long residential close.
