I'm suggesting that maybe in the future that we see one of the still older and less modernised routes that's classed as a mainline in the UK. And that's the Chiltern Mainline. And I believe that due to the line itself being less populated compared to other mainlines that we could potentially see the full line from London Marylebone to Birmingham Moor Street. * Chiltern
    Railways Map LinkedIn down below.

The line itself is 112 miles which if released would make it theongest UK route. However due to there only being 26 stations and only one operator serving the full line with Chiltern Railways we could see this.
They mainly run Class 68s with Mk3 Cosches, 165s and 168s if set in the modern era. And if set in 90s we would have 25 stations as warwick parkway was opened in 2000. Also ran class 165s and 115s (up until 1992)

I think personally this route would add alot to TSW with its rich history and being now one of the lesser know mainlines compared to the ECML and WCML in real life. And for a person who uses this line alot it would definitely be nice to see where I sit and train spot every few days.

Nice suggestion. Not sure we would end up with the whole route from London to Birmingham, likely it would come in two parts. If the Class 165/0 were made, it would be the perfect opportunity to also build the 165/1 for GWE. Also like the Class 115s as there are not enough 1st generation dmus in game currently but likely best left as a Legends type dlc. This would allow for the modern version with much more variety as you stated above.

Either way if it was modern or 90s set it would be if done right one of the better routes. Even upto maybe Banbury or Oxford
