It would be nice to see the line both via high wycombe & amersham instead of only via amersham, it would make it even more interesting with the different types of services along the chiltern mainline rather than just only being able to do the hourly service you usually see along this branch
I would love to see the Chiltern Mainline in TSW. I would also like to see a vintage version featuring the Uxbridge High Street branch line.
It is really going to have to include the Met otherwise it will be just another linear commuter run with single control handle DMU. I would like to see an 80’s version with the Class 115 DMU’s and A60 stock on the Met, but if the route did get made likely to be more modern sadly. Ultimately I’d like to see a mid 50’s Great Central from Marylebone to Rugby but I really am living on Fantasy Island with that one!
I like this suggestion but s8 stock would need to be included. I made a full Chiltern Mainline suggestion but nobody saw it
Chiltern suggestions dont seem to get much attention, but there is something so special about the mainline that makes it unique
It’s a weird mainline, dwarfed by the GWML and WCML it cuts an awkward path through Buckinghamshire to Birmingham. It doesn’t link up to well with the other routes apart from Banbury and Greenford for GWR. I can understand why it doesn’t get as much demand compared to WCML,ECML or MML south but would like to see it in the game at some stage.
Either Birmingham Snow Hill to Banbury or Marlybone to Princes Risborough could be good routes, both utilities the unique Class 68 + DVT combo. London-Risborough could also have the turbostar commuter belt traffic too.
