Train sim World 2 recommend AMD Ryzen 7 1700 and Radeon RX 480, the other game suggest graphics RX 590.I am planning to choose Ryzen 5 5600X and RX 6500XT for them. But are my choice up to the recommendation? Do I need to choose better Processor and Graphics for them?Hope you can help me make the best choice.
Your gpu is more than enough I believe. For the most part, you will get good performance. You'll still get some low fps on some routes and especially in big yards or where there's a lot of stuff like bml and stuff. Can't talk about the cpu though since idk the answer
I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600x which is much older and weaker than the 5600x. I play at 4K maximum settings with a 3080Ti as my gpu and get 60fps 95% of the time.
Those recommended specs are for 60fps at 4k If you don't intend on running at 4k or don't care so much about static 60fps then a cheaper GPU would be fine I run an rx580 and it's stable at 60fps at 1080p for the most part And don't forget the game isn't optimised in many areas so it would be almost impossible to get 60fps at those location (such as Victoria on the BML)
Saying a 3600's "much older" is like calling a loan of one million dollars "small". You really lack perspective if you think that's the case.
You're right, I didn't realise how quickly time had passed. The 5600x was released the following year which I actually didn't realise, so I retract what I said about it being much older. My apologies. I guess then in terms of specs the 5600x is a decent bit ahead of the 3600x, which still makes it viable for OP to use.
You're looking at the recommended TSW2 hardware, but TSW2 is no longer on sale, and TSW3 has different requirements. The minimum specs aren't that much higher, but what's recommended for good performance are. The AMD 6500XT is a horribly-reviewed ultra-low-end GPU that was priced to be affordable during the price boom and is often called not worth its suggested retail. Nvidia's 3050 had a similar strategy but at least performed passably, which isn't to say well. GPU prices have been coming down, so I'd strongly suggest looking higher up the curve. The 5600X is perfectly fine. A local store currently has the Ryzen 7 5700x for only $20 more, so if you're able to get some extra beef for not much extra money, you might consider that.
I bought TSW 2 last year, but graphics weren't good enough.I plan to upgrade it these days. How about the AMD RX6600, since you said 6500XT is a horrible GPU? Can it run TSW 2 on 1080P 60Fps with high preset? Thanks for your advice.
I have a 6600 and for most games it competes quite admirably on FPS with my Series X, rendering at 1440p at the closest matched settings. I imagine TSW3 performance would be similarly matched, but cannot confirm this as I only have it on console. However, TSW3 has quite notable FPS drops below 60 on Series X, so given my 6600 usually performs similarly in like for like comparisons, I expect it too would see the same framerate dips. For a decent card that will likely get you a good few years of mileage, I'd say got for an RX 6800 or RTX 3080 if you can.
