Playing TSW2 and chopper and change is impossible on PS5 version. In typical fashion, its never until you waste the amount of time to nearly complete a scenario that the stupid red light bug happens. No, I've not saved the game, because I know that somehow hasn't been resolved after years. The light after "go via location" right before shutting the loco down doesn't change from red. In a few videos I saw it is meant to be yelllow. When can I be put on the payroll for QA because I never get to actually enjoy this buggy monstrosity.

This is the PC Discussion forum.

surely you'd get better replies on the playstation pages?

This bug also exists in the PC version, I reported it a few months ago (in Technical Reports) so is not platform specific. It has also been mentioned before that so yet another example of DTG: 1. Not testing a scenario that forms part of the Journey experience and 2. Showing total disinterest in actually fixing the thing.

    ahh ok,

i think maybe DTG had been so absorbed in working on the steam engines and 1958 route for the past year and a half, not a lot seem'd to be getting done to fix other routes / trains.

which might be why the end of may update had so many things it changed... i.e. part of the backlog of bugs that had been known for months / years, but the steam train route needed to be released asap and took over most resources.

that plus how they test things... the AI thing that looks for problems only with what they have changed, that seems to be what's 'to blame' for the recent update that broke things,

we really need real world play testers, before an update is issued to everyone the update is given to people who play the game/sim at home, who have the time to actually play through routes / scenarios,
100 testers across the globe who like to drive different trains / countries rail networks would likely result in 99% of bugs being reported within a day or 2, and then DTG would have some time to fix them before the public release.

I know they have play testers now, but they clearly are not enough when within an hour of a public update bugs that should not have slipped through are reported.

As regards this scenario, I did read some people had managed to complete it by propelling the rake of wagons through the closed (!) shed doors so you stop with the loco spot on the marker before detaching. This avoided the section ahead occupied message when trying to tab past the ground signal (or the signal cleared anyway). Regret to say I tried this at least twice and never worked for me.
