To The Trains > Train Depot > Timetable > Select loco (I've tried both Class 40 and 45) > Northern Trans Penine Route > 06:45 NH09 Newton Heath Depot Move
    (No mods installed)

I have tried for over an hour to get any selected locomotive to move this freight service with its wagons attached. The only way to get the loco moving is to uncouple it completely from the wagons. I've set up the loco's I've tried correctly, yet when the wagons are attached the consist refuses to move whatsoever on this service, regardless of the loco type chosen. I've checked all the brakes settings (loco and driver) and reverser settings. I've checked in the rear cab and that's fine. I've checked that all the brakes are released on the wagons and they are. I've checked that the handbrakes is off in both cabs. Giving any more than 19% on the throttle makes the wheelslip light illuminate and the service will not move. It seems to me as though there is still a brake on somewhere.

Am I missing something here? Why will this service not move when it's set up correctly and it should work?

Not sure if this is what you meant by checking brakes but is the brake type selector dial (passenger freight etc) on the back of the cab set right? Otherwise the brakes won't release if I remember right?

That's sorted out the problem. I did think of that but couldn't find the control. I've found it now in both loco types I was trying. It's in the rear cab on both loco's. On the Peak it was hidden behind the door I'd left open to get in to the cab. Problem solved. Thanks.
