Ah so your out with a flask or warm drink searching for vital planet's. Have to see how many you find.
Oooo a trip on a steam hauled Train. I hope you have a good time and the weather's good on that day in the future.
Fantastic collection of Dr Who and Batman. you got a mini drone excellent. I wasn't good at flying those am sure your do great.
Nice Doctor Who merch, especially the Big Finish audios (they're grown a lot over the years). I'd love to be able to try out more of their stuff, but they put out so much, I stick to just one Doctor. No train stuff for me. The Lost Adventures Of James Bond by Mark Edlitz* Hitman 3 (PS4) Righting Wrongs (Blu Ray) *This one is going to become one of my bibles.
If you have Spotify premium, Big Finish are one there and their first fifty audios are free to listen to.
I don't have that, but I might look into it. Thanks for the tip. Especially how the early stories are no longer put on CD, and EBay prices can be questionable.
Just been watching Doctor Who Season 2, from 1964 (William Hartnell), which has been released as a box set Blu Ray.. How different from today but enjoyable just the same. I’m old enough that it is my era originally. Saturday evenings were the football results, Doctor Who and Juke Box Jury.
Personally, I'm not too fond of the older seasons. I prefer Christopher Ecelston onwards. Sounds like you had a nice night though!
Tom Baker cast a large shadow over the show. But.... but, there are a number of Doctors I rate higher (McCoy, Troughton, Smith, Pertwee and Hartnell). It's like saying that Sean Connery was the best Bond, Basil Rathbone the best Sherlock Holmes, Albert Finney the best Poirot, Christopher Lee the best Dracula etc... everyone has their own favourite. For what it's worth, Sylvester McCoy, Timothy Dalton, Jeremy Brett, David Suchet and Jack Palance.
Actually, I rate Sylvester McCoy quite highly. He was very underrated. I’ve watched his 3 seasons when they were released on box set and enjoyed them immensely, especially the ones with Sophie Aldred. The Curse of Fenric is superb, especially when watched as a film rather than episodes.
I loved McCoy's run. And Ace was one of my first crushes as a kid. In hindsight, pretty obvious how gay I was from such an early age.
I can't speak for the Colin Baker audios, but Big Finish have given Sylvester McCoy some of his best Doctor Who material.
If you have Spotify premium, Big Finish have the first 50 audios on there free. Featuring Doctors 5,6,7,8. The 6th Doctor gets his own companion as well Evelyn Smythe played by the late great Maggie Stables.
