The Circumvesuviana, inaugurated in 1884, is a narrow-gauge railway network serving the eastern and southern part of the Naples metropolitan area, extending for about 142 km, distributed over 6 lines and 97 stations.

There's also the full line taped in the cab:

It is a fantastic line, characterized by cities, tunnels, mountains (with cable car) and a lot of sea

The maximum speed is 90km/h and there are some stops which have only 1 track and other have 6 tracks. The voice announcing the current station and the next one at each stop is also available online 424011012180526_Vico_1110984416.jpg

That looks really scenic and interesting! I would love to see Italy, and would love a mainline with Frecciabianca or high speed Freciarossa services. However a narrow gauge network like this would really allow you to take in the scenery, which would alsobe great.

wow it looks like an immersive scenario. I visited Italy once (I'm German) and I must say that these trains have always fascinated me, rich in history and culture. Hope to see him in a future dlc.

Excellent suggestion and for the gameplay it's going to be a Narrow Gauge Suburban Railway with Rural Segments. The Italian overhead system contact poles can be reused for FS 3kv DC 1.45m pantographs and also the Bern Milan Railway Domodossola simplon tunnel Southern approach 15kv 16.7hz

Fun fact, i have just discovered that the new trains of the Circumvesuviana are identical to those of the Fortaleza metro

Woooow, but that's great !!! I would pay flight attendants for a dlc like this, I think it's perfect! It is really suitable for train sim world, severed scenery, particular trains and a lot of art.

But is it connected with other local railways or is it private?

It is entirely separate from other national and regional railway lines, which is pretty awesome.

    Please in English here.

That line seems to be interesting and it’s very scenic with bridges and tunnels and lot of trees it’ll be pleasant to drive even at a low speed

Old thread I know, but I'd loved to see this developed. Travelled on this train many times whilst holidaying in the area - absolutely stunning scenery and a very interesting route.

Would be great to have some buskers in the train too!
