Quick post here as the CTS forums appear to have been completely locked down for any further participation. Anyhow, thread in the Announcements Section of the CTS area that the title has been handed back to ViewApp and DTG are no longer associated with it. Given the state CTS seems to have been left in despite supposedly coming out of Early Access, can't say I'm surprised. Though as happened with Flight Sim World, I expect Dovetail made a bit of money out of selling a title which was never going to be properly finished and fixed by its developer.
I haven't really been following the game, but they said they would continue to work on the game after separation from DTG. Do you not believe this?
Given the developer’s past record and observations of how they performed under DTG overview, I think some scepticism is in order. I just find the whole situation rather amusing that went through months of DTG defending how good the game was an overlooking the obvious flaws, taking it out of early access when emphatically not ready and now dropping it like Ann unwanted child.
Good morning folks, As someone who has worked very closely with ViewApp during our partnership from the beginning, I wanted to quickly jump in and clarify a few things. Our partnership with ViewApp ended on mutually agreed terms, and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours. We played a role in helping ViewApp kickstart this project and supported them through the Early Access phase and the launch. They have now reached a point where they can manage the game independently. Being self-published grants them greater creative freedom in their operations. City Transport Simulator: Tram has undergone numerous patches and updates, and the game is still actively being developed, with plans for many more updates in the future. Lastly, we have closed the forum because we can no longer offer support. We wanted to ensure that anyone needing help is directed to ViewApp, so there is no conspiracy behind this either. I hope this helped clear things up. All the best, Jan
Interestingly City Transport Simulator: Bus is coming. New trams and a teaser for Trams/Bus in a real life setting - Vienna. Lots of development. I, of one, am looking forward to Vienna and real life setting. Just not a fan of fictional places.
I am a HUGE fan of Vienna's town transport, so if that happened I would probably jump and buy it... I am badly craving to drive sth rail related, be it trams, trans or U-Bahn, in a sim, if done in a nice and properly deep way
