As Dovetail divested this from their portfolio and closed down the albeit still visible forum area they had for it, guess we now need to discuss in Off Topic. Anyhow noticed it's available to buy on the MS Store as well as Steam, albeit without any discount. As I've got £30 sitting around in my MS account, wondered if the game has improved enough since the fairly dire state it was in before DTG washed their hands of it? Or is it still a buggy mess not worth bothering with?
Here we go again! Sorry, but why are you criticizing DTG?! You don’t even know the real story… DTG didn’t initiate ViewApp’s departure at all. ViewApp made the decision themselves to part ways with DTG. They chose another publisher that offered them more opportunities to make authentic recordings of buses. Makes sense too DTG doesn’t have connections in that area. So it was absolutely not DTG’s decision. Your point is clear even without such negative additions. I’m getting a bit tired of these populist posts just aimed at getting clicks.
Perhaps it would be appropriate to correct your post instead of blaming me now. “Don’t shoot the messenger,” I’d say.
Technically there was nothing wrong with how I worded my OP. Whoever made the decision the fact is DTG no longer market or sell the game so yes, they did divest it from their portfolio and close down the forum. And they could probably have explained things a bit better. Welcome to my ignore list.
Ah okay..... Then I clearly have a different perspective on how you describe the story as “not much wrong with it.”
I really don't know how you live with yourself Vern, being such a rude anarchist with non-stop negative opinions about everything. Everyone knows you're the most disruptive member out of all of us... lol
I just find it disappointing that he doesn’t say, “Sorry, I was wrong about that”… It’s really not that complicated.
Neither is just letting it go... He didn't attack you personally and has nothing to appologize for. From an outsider's perspective, and whether you meant to or not, you kind of jumped down poor Vern's throat.
I am a disgrace to the uniform and regiment. Should be taken out and shot at dawn. Anyhow, decided to pass on CTS for the time being, with everything to to do in TSW6, TSC, Snowrunner, Farming etc.
Snowrunner's been a slog for me lately. Somehow I've ended up back in Michigan hauling logs, and it has just been exhausting lol.
Well, it's something he's a part of himself, so it's only to be expected that it would be given back at some point.
I did finish the original three areas, but have barely scratched the surface of most of the DLC. Only map I finished was Scandinavia, dabbled in Austria and a few of the others but I really need a more structured approach. My current go to is Kola peninsula mainly to unlock the radar scanner. Quebec (which I think is the latest map) was way too tough.
Odd criticism of the initial post I must say, i don’t see anything criticising DTG? Nor any ‘clickbait’. As for CTS, I’ve sort of kept up with it since they added buses - I think the biggest issue really is the AI traffic is far too light, but generally seems like there is good reception of the bus physics. Personally I’m not that interested in trams so I can’t offer an opinion on that side of the game, but given their approach to combine various transport options into the game, you’d think traffic density would be pretty important to them. I think if I had to pick between CTS & Astragons Bus Simulator, I’d probably go with this since it seems a little more grounded, but even then I’d have to be quite bored & the game would need to be quite cheap - it just doesn’t seem very fleshed out overall.
