For timetable and scenarios, examples: One hundred trip: drive this local service from Reading to Paddington. 100 becomes 101: one failure at Huddersfield on your service means the class 100 will be drag by one 101 to depot for repair. The centenary: Express service from Darlington to Saltburn

The Class 100 were not typically found on the London to Reading section. The mainstay was the Class 117 and 121 on local services with Class 123 on semi fast and 128 on parcels traffic.

If memory serves me correctly the Class 100’s largely worked in East Anglia.

It’s a nice suggestion and we need more heritage DMU’s, but there are probably more popular and ubiquitous types to be explored first.

The only place I saw a Class 100 in BR days was a Tyseley allocated set at Birmingham New Street in 1981.

More on the Class 100 here:
    Class 100 DMU (railcar.co.uk)
Actually more widespread than I thought, having only seen pictures of them in East Anglia/Lincs.
