Does one exist anywhere? Been searching for days.. I think not, but you never know, there may be some obscure freeware someone's got. Doesn't have to be brilliant, but would love a Class104 for AI traffic.

Haven't seen any 104s in my travels in freewareland but I might be corrected.

There's not enough 1st gen diesels or electrics around IMO.

Alas not... just checked. Such a pity... the damned things were everywhere in the BR days. Oh well... I'll have to learn 3D modelling one day then LOL

No nothing sadly, would be a very useful unit and would work with several payware and freeware routes.

DMU's are neglected, AC EMU's have fared even worse. It seems to be a case of we have made a class 101 so that is all you need, I know there is a 105, 117 and 121 but they were made by made by someone else and the marketplace 117 reskins are no longer available to newcomers. I would like to see the NSE 101 re-released and the white and blue and green with whiskers versions so we can use them with the AP pack.

A class 108 and 116 and a Cross Country type would be hugely useful too.

I was scoping this out yesterday (104), not sure where I'd get authentic sounds from though. Could probably find sounds that are impossible to tell the difference from the original units.

The original 141 Pacer is also in my workload, fully scoped and underway. This is a personal favourite of mine, evil looking little railbus. Also the Serco weedkiller train. There's a preserved unit close to home that I'm using as the reference loco.

Yeah.. if you can't have a 104 for your BR Blue scenarios, then a Derby is the next best thing I suppose. I'm just sick of using the 101.

A 108 would be much more suitable substitute for the 104 than the 117/118. The 117/118 were were restricted in their operation, the 118 mostly in the west country apart from a few sets in the west midlands around the late 80's and early 90's and early days around London. The 117 mostly around London and Bristol with a few sets around the west midlands in the late 80's and the 90's and of course those regional railways sets which ended their days in Scotland.

A 108 and 104 would be extremely useful additions.

    Of course :)

The 104 and Derby style units would be nice additions to TS and there is a small heritage railway about 8 miles away from me that houses one of those units. It's a great place to be, Barrow Hill Roundhouse, Peak Rail, Churnet Valley Railway, Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, The Heritage Shunters Trust, Midland Railway @ Swanwick/Butterly and last but not least, the Steeple Grange Light Railway at Wirksworth are all on my doorstep.

I keep flitting back to the idea of an open standard for train simulation software, but I think the industry needs to mature a little first.
