DTG JD I’ve got a question hopefully you or someone in DTG can answer over a year ago tsw west Cornwall was released and the hype surrounding it was huge given it was first foray for a sprinter dmu to be in a tsw title however all this time on this dmu is still a mess and the traction audio still sounds no where near what the class 150/2 does in reality some very minor things were done a while back and I was wondering if you could give update on the progress of this being rectified or if you know someone in teams who could answer my question I’d be very grateful for your help especially given class 150 was first train I ever travelled on as a kid however nothing has been said in Ages about it like it’s been forgotten about would be fantastic for the fixes as this train got bags of potential once it’s up to par

This is a comma ‘,’ and this is a full stop ‘.’

If you want people to help you at least do them the courtesy of using them both every once in a while to, oh I don’t know, make a sentence or something? Even throw in the odd capital letter for fun. Go crazy.

Hardly, but say what you will. If I’m wrong on this one then I don’t want to be right.

They need to hand the whole unit over to DTG, give them the visual model bit, then start with the 166 physics model and tweak that, not the shambles that the current 150/2 physics model has.

Totally re-implement the WHOLE of the AP sourced sound files… literally the whole lot of sounds, not just a few. Re-release it as a separate add on…maybe £9.99 and DTG keep ALL the profit.

I would also totally cut off any future work with rivet. They’ve had more than enough chances to sort it out but their attitude is frankly disgusting and not fit for this industry.

I’m autistic so things aren’t always the same for me as other people get over it or jog on

Your spot on it’s funny but years ago when 166 from gwr updated I always said that sounded a lot like a sprinter

It used to accelerate way too quickly but I sent off some gps speed videos and drivers feedback - they changed it, now it’s an absolute joy to drive.

Every time rivet have a go at sorting the physics out, they spend very little time on it, do not consult the experts about their new results, release it and it still isn’t right. It’s a total and utter joke, except it’s not funny. They are profiting from the equivalent of ‘cowboy builders’ type work. Half a job, mess it up, take the money, don’t come back to fix it to a satisfactory standard.

if skyhook mess this 158 up I will just give up - go back to TSC and use AP stock again. They have the care to do it right the first time.

That's a bit extreme don't you think. I find rivet dlcs to be quite nice and adds some nice variety and unique features to tsw. But cutting them off completely is a bit extreme.

Yes, ok maybe a little extreme. Leave them to do the routes, visual side of things and they should be outsourcing rolling stock sound and physics to the experts….and rivet should leave well alone until they can actually master the department, and get it realistic

Good point for me physics fine it’s the la k of proper sprinter audio that ruins it but what gets me is insult that’s Old steam route been released without even bothering to properly address 150/2 audio issues

While they are about it, could they put Truro Cathedral in? Maybe its hiding behind that horrible blob they’ve dumped in front of it and forgotten to remove before release.

I’m so glad this has been brought up again. The sound on the 150 puts me off playing it period. The flange squeal is terrible and like nothing I’ve heard before in my life. It really is unfair to have to pay for sub standard products and to be expected to like it or lump it.

I will continue to keep bringing it up until it’s fixed. I’m not going away easily

If you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. Guess who’s now on my ignore list..?

Are you not going against your own pontificating there?

Not to worry, I won’t be losing any sleep over it.

Don't worry, given how he's reacting without consideration for social cues & appearing inconsiderate, he might well be autistic too. ;)
