My suggestion is this a class 150 sprinter done correctly to correct the wrong of the 150/2 of west Cornwall local it’s been done in ts classic so it’s only right that this glaring wrong is corrected with a spot in accurate sounding sprinter
I believe the sounds are correct as they came from Armstrong powerhouse, the problem stems from the inaccurate physics. It's a similar situation to what happens with the 158 when it first released, the revving when you apply power wasn't there but as of now it's sounds much closer to the real train after it had its physics reworked.
The Class 150 sounds are not accurate. Unless there has been an update of late which is highly doubtful. I sign the 150 units and it certainly is a far cry from the prototype.
What I mean is the sound set has been taken from a real 150. But because the sounds are linked with the simugraph and how the engine runs etc the poor simulation results in the sounds being completely off. There was an update a while ago which attempted to improve the physics but it made them worse imo.
I think its also partly that the TSW sound game engine is awful and somehow rivet makes DTG look good
Dtg have used sounds from AP and implemented them well as seen with the 465, electrostars and 66. Rivet used the wrong physics from the start so the 150 didn't act or sound like the real thing. Rivet have always struggled with physics and sound since their very first dlc
the 465 starts moving too quick the 377 and 387 sound the same even though they shouldn't (thats AP's problem though) and the 66 is the only good one imo
British: Class 20, 31, 40, 45, 47, 375, 377, 314, 313, 465, 66, 43 (MTU & Vp 185). German: Br 425, 423, 101, 612, 193 (vectron), 442, 403/406. USA: F125, M7A, M3A, ACS 64, Acela, F40 Ph 3c, ALP 46. The 323 is also pretty accurate not 100% I’d say about 90-95%. To name a few.
the 323 is by far the best imo except the traction motors because they're awful. I only use British trains so they're excluded, the 45 and 47 sound very weird and have to be wrong. I don't know much about PEP's but I have seen a fair few complaints about them, the 465 is good tbh just needs better physics, the 377 and 375s have some awful sound transitions, 66 and VP 185 HST are good but nothing is to the standard of AP's TS DMU / diesel Loco enhancement/standalone packs
“sound very weird”, so you’ve never heard them through YouTube or real life so you default to them being wrong? That’s not how you asses whether trains sound are accurate. So you can’t claim no train in tsw sounds good then. And what are these? Keeping in mind those sound sets are also from AP
I tried the 150 DMU yesterday from St Ives- St Erth. I hadn't had a go with it, as I've only just recently bought the West Cornwall dlc. It's not a type of motive power I usually drive, as I prefer loco- hauled steam, or sometimes diesel. I was quite impressed with the sounds from the 150. I hadn't seen one running for several years, but instantly recognised the sound, so gave it full power . The 150's were regular around East Anglia a few years ago. The 101 sounds synthetic by comparison.
Get the door controls working too, panel is there but you can’t use it. doesn’t 150s have a door control box at 1 of the passenger doors in each coach?
TBH I'm not familiar with DMUs , as you say there's a panel in the cab. Next time I will check by the doors. I always use the direction pad on PS4. The branch along the coast to St Ives is really nice. It's only just over 3 miles along the branch, but it's one of my favorite sections of line, in all of the routes I have.
