Introduction Hello, today I am suggesting the Class 156 Super Sprinter for the Midland Mainline on Train Sim World. But before we get started, for this train DLC I would like dtg to use the proper Armstrong Powerhouses Sounds and implement them properly. We don't want a repeat of the class 150. If that happens then this DLC will be top notch! Why? The Class 156 is my local DMU, part of my favourite family of DMU and one of ScotRails best DMU's. I traveled on it recently on the West Highland Line and thoroughly enjoyed it. After researching midland Mainline I saw an opportunity for this to come to TSW. And here is your suggestion. Services The class 156 would have almost the same timetable as the class 158. It would switch in and out and run along side the 158 doing stopping services and semi Fast services. The Train The class 156 is a diesel multiple-unit. Built in 1987 by Metro-Cammel in Birmingham, these diesel multiple-units have a top speed of 75 mph (120 km/h). They concist of 2 coaches per set. They use the same engines (cummins) as the class 158 in TSW and sound quite alike to other sprinters. The only operators currently using these trains are: East Midlands Railway Northern Trains ScotRail Conclusion Thanks for reading. I hope you liked this suggestion and I hope to see it in the game. Please tell me your thoughts below Pictures Here is some audio samples provided by AP:
Really good suggestion mate! I think this would bring more fun to the MML pack in my opinion. But I think an extension should come if the class 156 comes along, since this would give more opportunity and services. Voyager would also be nice.
