As the title asks - there are a lot of stations on the Fife Circle Line that are built on a gradient, and being a single-handle train I'm finding it impossible not to roll back when transitioning from brake into a standing start.

I can't believe this happens in real life, and on the monitor on the left there's a text box with "Parking brake" written, but I cannot find the button to actually activate said brake anywhere. Can anybody point it out for me please?!

Use the hill start brake, by holding the default brake key while the engine's revving up.

Ah, fantastic - thank you. I will give that a go later on! I spent such a long time scouring the buttons in the cab last night, and also looking through the key bindings...

I’ve found powering in notch 3 or 4 stops the roll back as well

You can see the animation of the thumb controlled knob on the PBC when applying the Hill Start Brake btw.

Nothing finer than an animated knob

Depends on the sort of knob.

    2 options:

    1) Try and move your cursor to the end of the power handle and press the button while using the triggers to move the power lever back (not sure if that will work).

    B) plug in a keyboard (expensive and inconvenient)

    EDIT: My mistake, see below.

Hold L2 I believe it is whilst throttling. What I do is hold L2 then placing the power handle into notch 4 whilst L2 is held until the revs build then release.
