Thought I would take a spin on the TSC Goblin Line section to help in deciding whether to buy the forthcoming TSW version.

Unfortunately the 172 appears to have picked up a bug. If you hit T to operate the doors, triggers an unrecoverable emergency brake application. Even if you put the power/brake controller to off, the brakes stay on. There is no other way of operating the doors by any interactive control you can mouse click.

The script puts the handle into emergency as a holding brake, but if you wait until the doors are closed you can accelerate again.

You probably shouldn't touch it while loading passengers.

Surely you won't get the massive network in TSW ;)

Problem is, you have to press T to trigger the station stop/open doors which immediately puts in the emergency brake. I can’t see a way round that. The brakes would not release even with the doors closed.

    They do for me.

I'm stopping, pressing T, the handle automatically moves to EMG (but no real emergency is triggered) and the brakes fully apply. As soon as boarding is complete, I can move the handle again (I'm using the keyboard). As you see in my screenshot, I'm heading to my second stop.

It's strange as obviously the first time this occurs is when you trigger loading at Gospel Oak, at the start of the trip.

Will check that later, was starting at Barking. Woof.

Had a spin on the 172 yesterday evening and noticed the same thing, but all I had to do was press a on the keyboard to take it out of emergency.

    Hee, hee.

Anyhow about to try it again. Maybe trigger the loading before touching any other controls.
I know I have done a run on the route with the 172, when I first got it from Barking to GO but that was a while ago.

I have released the brakes with the A key but still showing 1.9 bar.

So, I've got TSC fired up. (latest beta)

    What scenario do we play?

Well knock me down with a feather, it worked this time after making sure the T key was the first thing I hit.

Still something the devs might want to look at, dodgy scripting maybe.

    Anyhow, time to drive.

It's the second one in Career mode, Gospel Oak to Barking but as I said seems to be working now.

Yep, don't touch the controls while the script moves the handle and applies the holding brakes.

DTG won't touch this, it's too old. (And the people who scripted this aren't in house probably)

I think I recall some similar issues on the GEML Class 360...

But I really have to say, the detail on that route is fantastic. The lineside foliage and scenery in general. I don't think the shortened TSW version can live up to that.

It does look good, I have to admit. But there is the thing, if you have the TSC version you don't really need the TSW version. A couple of trips each way and that's enough to be going on with.

Yes, and just check the map what's to explore in the TSC version. And use whatever stock you like.
