Now that we’re starting to see more Northern rail territory added in TSW it may be time to consider what potential trains could be added to expand the fleet (so we aren’t stuck with 323s forever), this is why I’m suggesting either the Class 195 or 331. Class 195 DMU: Train formations: 195/0: 195001 - 195025 - 2 cars 195/1: 195101 - 195133 - 3 cars Routes served (as of 2022): -Blackpool North - York/Blackburn/Leeds -Hebden Bridge – York -Manchester Airport - Barrow-in-Furness/Windermere -Manchester Victoria - Chester/Leeds, Leeds - Lincoln/Nottingham/Sheffield, -Manchester Oxford Rd - Liverpool L/S/Warrington Central, -Manchester Piccadilly - Rose Hill Marple. Class 331 EMU: Train formations: 331/0: 331001 - 331031 - 3 cars 331/1: 331101 - 331112 - 4 cars Routes served (as of 2022): -Manchester Airport - Blackpool North/Liverpool Lime St -Manchester Piccadilly - Crewe/Alderley Edge/Crewe/Hazel Grove/Stoke on Trent -Leeds - Doncaster/Skipton/Ilkley -Bradford FS - Ilkley/Skipton Shared cab & interior:
We definitely need more northern routes. Would be great to bring the 333 in with the 331/0s on the Airedale wharefedale line.
This is a good suggestion. Like other routes/areas, a flurry of locomotive dlc is long overdue to fill the multitudes of gaps in various timetables. Now that we have a selection of third party developers, perhaps it is time to release a decent amount of locomotive dlc.
Leeds to Doncaster is a good shout for the 331. Allows us to make use of the route hopping feature. It could also replace the 323 on ECML.
Would be great to have a new Northern train. Could go on the Manchester Airport Commuter route as both are seen alongside 323s. Opens up the possibility of York To Leeds Via Micklefield (potential to Hull as well)
I find it boring just sticking with the 323. Purely because DTG are lazy and just painted another livery on the BCC 323. That's why it would be great to hopefully introduce a new northern train.
To be fair there aren’t that many differences between both versions irl so I wouldn’t blame DTG for them being similar in game
I like the idea of the 331's because they do lots of the manchester to Crewe services, they are also a good idea because they do alderley edge services from Manchester Piccadiliy. I can see these Dlc's being good ones as the 331's, 323, 156 and 158's tend to be very popular ones on the rails in irl for Northern. I can see skyhook doing a northern 158
What I mean by that, they could of added more variety maybe a different route.. Glossop line wouldn't of been one of my choices. Id do something from Leeds. Like leeds to Wigan or York where the 158s and 331s are used. Howether I think the 323 is still a good addition to the northern collection in TSW (howether it's the only northern train in the collection, hopefully more to come soon)
Anything Including Northern rail, I’m in For! 195’s run behind my house everyday on the Preston - Colne (also Manchester Victoria and onwards). A route I could see a 195 on is Preston to Bradford Interchange with the main operator being Northern rail. route length is 1H and 23 mins. (Mileage I’m unsure off) Update: mileage is 54.5 miles according to Google! Can have a 3 coach 195, Nothern Trains Class 158 and also the 150/2 remodel and reworked in terms of sounds and physics. Basically anything Northern Rail
I like the idea of that but I think you should extend it to Leeds from interchange. It's only a few miles.
Yeah even that could work as long as it’s not too long for the devs I just want more northern rail stock. Especially a 156 in the classic purple and blue NR livery with a fine layer of dirt and grime
What I'm wanting is a 333. Either in the old serco and abellio livery or in the current northern one.
A class 333 would be nice, something different in terms of looks. Me myself, I’m not familiar with the 333 but it does have potential. Just need DTG to make good use of this Northern rail license
