Decided to do the Preston to Carlisle class 20 railtour run. Is the rear Loco suppose to just idle or should it really be giving power irl. I have seen videos of class 20 railtours with trailing locos giving power. Just curious.
It's worth noting that in TSW, trailing locos are idle by default, unlike in TS. That was often annoying.
Yeah. I know on the American routes though you can set up banking com. Some locos easier than others. I seem to remember on sand patch setting them up required you to run to the trailing units as opposed to cajon pass where you hey press a button in the lead cab, which was a pain in the ass.
Makes sense then. The rail tour uses mk2's and even with a single loco it manages to get to its top speed of 60
Nope, tsw is rather detailed on that. There is no control cable leading to the rear cl.20 if you haul mk2 coaches, so as a player i would just shut down the rear loco. Here to say im not sure how it was constructed on the drs cl.20 for rhtt.
Banking com is just made because the distributed power system between rear and intermediate locos is not simulated. So yes for US it can be said that its ductaped
I've found the class 20 just idles at the rear of any formation. Even the ones that have bus cables in rl.
