    Hello Dovetail,

Now that you have introduced the Class 390 Pendolino, after years of asking, into TSW5, please complete the set and add the Class 221 Alstom Super Voyager. This Train as a DLC, I am sure will please the community.

    Thank You,
    Gibson a-british-rail-class-221-super-voyager-at-euston-station-in-london-2GF3WF3.jpg

    Hello Oakleymoss,

Whilst I do appreciate your reply and I respect your opinion, the Class 805 is very similar to the Azuma. The Super Voyager is a different Train, it is very popular and is a very Superior Train to have ever been placed on our British Rails.

The Pendolinos and Super Voyagers have been refurbished by Avanti since they were bought from Virgin as I am sure you are aware.

The Pendolinos and Voyagers also hold a place In my Heart. I was Born in 2001, and therefore they bring a very nostalgic feeling to me. The Class 221 were built between 2001 and 2002, and the 390's were built in 2002. Therefore, these Icons that overhauled the British Rails I believe is only fair to have in the Game along side each other.

    Thank You,
    Gibson

    I second this.

Personally the 805s are too similar to the Azuma - and while I would not be opposed to it coming to TSW one day, I would much prefer to have a voyager/super voyager first.

We also do not currently have any relevant routes for a XC Voyager to layer on to - unlike the AVWC one. I believe the XC Voyagers operate twice a day as a playable service on the current MML, working one train from Central Rivers -> Derby -> Nottingham before heading out back to Derby and onwards to the south. Everything else would purely operate as AI for the short section around Derby.

Likewise with the Cross City and East Coast Mainline, the only functionality a XC Voyager would serve is AI - as voyager services don’t tend to stop at any intermediate stations between Birmingham and Bromsgrove, and again around Doncaster station.

Long story short: While a Cross Country voyager would be great to have, it would have to come as a pack with some kind of route. An AVWC Variant would be able to run on the upcoming WCML route

You could have an ECML extension to York and Leeds so they could run the respective services on those routes.
An extension of MML up to Sheffield would also allow the XC voyager to run between Sheffield and Derby.

You could have reading to Bournemouth where they run to. I see them at reading on a daily basis. I'm pretty sure they go from Bournemouth to Manchester via reading. Not 100% on that though

Extensions are highly unlikely though, hence why I said it would have to come with a base route of its own.

Like I said - I’m absolutely not opposed to seeing a Cross Country voyager for TSW. Despite my previous history of bad luck and misfortune while travelling on them in real life, I do actually think the XC livery is quite nice - particularly on the voyagers - but being realistic with what we currently have, it’s unlikely anytime soon

They do in fact operate those services via Reading. I’m not familiar with that specific region so can’t give my personal opinions on that, but a UK Route is a UK route. It would be nice to have as much of the network covered as possible

    Hello Jess,

That is exactly right. I believe if the Super Voyager was added to TSW5 as an addition to the Avanti West Coast Mainline, that would then complete the set of both the Pendolino's and Voyagers.

I do believe that a Cross Country Route, perhaps from Sheffield to York for example, would be a great add on too. However, I do believe they should complete the set on West Coast Mainline now and add the Voyager, and they should complete the Midlands Mainline by adding the next Voyager Class of the 222.

    Thank You,
    Gibson
