I've been looking at the current British routes in TSW and have thought to myself, what locomotives could we see here that people would really enjoy? After some research and such, I decided that the class 313 and 171 would be a great addition for the current East Coastway route. The class 313 is a fairly old EMU that has seen work along this route for decades and is very nice to see in southern green livery. Because it's an older train it would probably be a little harder to drive than the class 377, so It would make the drive alot more interesting and give the people that want a challenge, a challenge. The class 313 only runs to Seaford now unfortunately but it would still be a really nice addition, it could easily swap in for the current Brighton - Seaford and Brighton - Lewes services (and the return of course). The class 171 (basically a class 170) would also be a great addition. It's a DMU (which we haven't seen much of in TSW yet) that would change it up a bit from the current class 377 ( EMU) that are alot easier to handle. It also has a cab with alot more visibly so we can fully see the lovely scenery of the East Coastway rather than just a rectangle in front of us to look out of. I believe the class 171 works in 2 car, 4 car and 6 car trains. I would really love to see either (or both) of these trains come to the route so we have something different to drive on the passengers duties.
