Hello everyone I've been thinking a lot about the potential for new rolling stock in Train Sim World 5, and one train that stands out to me is the Northern Class 319. As many of you know, the Class 319 has unfortunately been scrapped but it still has a rich history and has been a workhorse on the UK's railways for decades. Here are a few reasons why I believe it would be a fantastic addition to TSW5: 1. Historical Significance: The Class 319 units were originally built in the late 1980s and have seen service across various regions, including the Thameslink network and, more recently, Northern services. Including this train would allow players to experience a piece of railway history. 2. Versatility: The Class 319 is known for its versatility, being able to operate on both AC and DC electrified lines. This dual-voltage capability would add an interesting dynamic to gameplay, allowing for a variety of route options and operational challenges. 3. Unique Features: With its distinctive sounds, cab layout, and operational quirks, the Class 319 would provide a fresh and engaging driving experience. The inclusion of accurate sounds and detailed interiors would be a must to capture the essence of this train. 4. Route Compatibility: The Class 319 has operated on numerous routes. This includes the Northern Electrics network, which would be a perfect fit for the game's existing and upcoming routes. 5. Community Interest: There is a strong community interest in classic British EMUs, and the Class 319 is no exception. Adding this train to TSW5 would likely be met with enthusiasm from the player base, driving engagement and satisfaction. I would love to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think the Northern Class 319 should be included in TSW5? What other trains or features would you like to see in the game? I would like to see them operate on the Blackpool North-Manchester Piccadilly route calling at Preston, Bolton etc Looking forward to the discussion!
not a bad idea! I made a suggestion about the abbey line which also used to (and I think still do) run these trains so it would be a brilliant thing to see!
