The sounds heard in the Class 323 teaser video are not quite the best, but can be easily fixed with a couple changes. The current pitch shifting is pretty much accurate, but the actual sample recordings used are horrible. They have background noise, and don't really sound too good. I'll list the issues and improvements that should be made below.

First Solid Pitch Tone (Sounds great!)

First 5 Pitch Shifts (Sound Okay - Needs Background Noise Removed from Samples - Sounds like White Noise in the Background)

Other Pitch Shifts were not seen in the video or inaudible.

The fact that the makers have never mentioned that these were actually recorded, again raises doubts.
As usual, the train sounds are again sad to enjoy. proofs between the DLC
    Sorry for the negativity

They are very inconsistent with that. And even with dlc that have that description, it might not sound realistic, the sounds may be synthesized but not use real train recordings or the sounds got broken when they ported over. So whether they are on there or not, it doesn't really mean anything. I'm not saying it's the case all the time but I just wanted to point that out

You can have real recording sounds, and they can be worse then getting them from a video, thats just game dev for ya! Sounds in general are not that easy to do, and making it perfectly surely is not! They always try their best to get the sounds on point, but you also need the right people and staff for it, since iirc Tharandter Rampe & Sherman Hill the sound quality went really well up (imo)! And they always are improving
