Hi I'm wondering if this is a bug or not, when driving the class 350/1, it's 2 trains coupled together and when I drive at night I've noticed that the tail lights are on between the coupled trains as well as at the end. This is the same on AI services. I checked the cabs of the coupled ends and the button says the tail lights are meant to be off. When I turn them on and off again they stay off Basically my question is are they meant to be on or not? I tried googling and I can't find any information on it. Thanks.
No, lights with coupled trains should be off this includes head and tail, the tail light should be on, on the last car only, and the headlight, of course, would be on at the driving end. If the lights are on in between coupled coaches, it's buggered.
Thanks for confirming, I wondered if this was something to do with the recent update turning off the tail lights at the front by default
Occurs on the 377 (London Commuter version) and 801 (5-car, probably 9-car as well although only the 5-car ones couple to each other) as well. The 377 ones can be manually turned off. Both of those before TSW5 and the 350.
Also finding that the 350 is losing traction completely at random points. You have to turn off the traction to PBC- OFF and turn it back up to get any power.
Some of the AI trains I’ve still got the Tail lights as well as the headlights on and some of the trains still says not in service, I don’t know if I’ve got another Patch note for this bug
I remember when the route first came out , I was actually impressed the head and tail lights worked properly …….until these recent patches broke them on the 350!
Testing isn't the problem. It's whoever tests these things being listened to that is the problem. As far as management are probably concerned, as long as the train moves, there's nothing wrong (not a bad mindset but a dangerous one to base your income around).
Also noting that the way the PBC works has changed on the 350. It used to be that it would go from each setting 1>2>3>4, it seems now there is space in between. Idk if this is realistic to life but I preferred it the way it was before. Also noticed the taillight being on between two coupled units issue on the scenario Fife Circle with the 158 coupled to the 170
Definitely a core issue I think. Same happens with the 801 and 377 (but you can turn them off on the 377 at least, on the 801 they are apparently already off).
so it seems that this time DTG definitely managed to break 801 tail lights because last time I played on ECML this trick still worked (before last ECML update)
