I recently went on the east coastway route and left London road station heading towards Brighton with my cab door open on the left hand side.Once moving the door did not close until I closed it manually after which the cab door was not locked and I could open and close it freely whilst moving.According to the PIS the cab to was unlocked even when the door was closed.I don't know if this is an intended or not but here you go.
