I have been thinking after watching a cab ride video on YouTube it would be great to see the Class 378 London overground service since it uses part of the bakerloo line from Wilsden junction up to Harrow and Weldstone.

I have been thinking it would be great to see a route with the Class 378 or quite simply an add on as I am unsure what route the class 378 would use due to London Overground being quite a large network.

On the London Brighton route I can think of 3 locations at least where it could inserted as AI, especially around Clapham Junction.
Then of course it would used as AI on the Goblin line at Gospel Oak.

Good suggestion but imo the Class 378 should come with an East London Line route release if anyone decides to make it for TSW, rather than a stand-alone loco DLC

In general, the Class 378 operates on the Mildmay Line and the Windrush Line. It is less frequent on the Lioness Line, which is dominated by Aventras.

I think the whole missed opportunity for the Class 378 was to create the North London Line itself. Now, looking at what DTG has done and created the Goblin Line instead. Though I admit it is a good route, I again just feel the "lazy option" was chosen over the more intensive North London Line which could've ultimately had us driving the 378.

I suspect, though, that including the entire North London Line would have led to a significant decrease in quality. I find it hard to believe that the shortness of the route did not contribute to the increased quality of it.

While it is short, there are very few passenger services that go between the Windrush Line and the Suffragette Line, so it is basically like two routes anyway.

That being said, I don't own the Suffragette Line, so my opinion is automatically invalid.

I have a feeling they chose the GOBLIN line because of the WCML.

Looking at the map it is kinda why I suggested this become a loco add on rather than a route addon and it would make a really nice AI layer with the london underground bakerloo line from my forum post

I kinda agree there as they could have created two routes for overground and keep both the class 710 and the Class 378

Should come with a route, rather than be a standalone loco. North London Line would be perfect from Richmond to Stratford, and the West London Line from Willesden Junction to Clapham Junction. 28 miles in total, 29 stations. Certainly doable, the new WCML South route coming up has 20+ stations and is nearly twice as long

The problem with the North London Line is Stratford. It would be a ghost station with just the 378s there. Selfishly, I want Stratford in game to be as busy as the real thing, which means Central line Tube stock, Elizabeth line Class 345s and Greater Anglia Class 720s and 745s, to go with the 378s.

Yeah I noticed the size of the in game maps are actually larger and go way further than they have before which means future content would actually be better and pre-exsisting content would be remastered / updated as well as extended to be even larger in size, but I also do agree with you a North London route sounds like a great idea, I was also thinking and overground route from kings cross in the heart of London because then you can see the sights as you come and go from London itself.

It's very much a "rome wasn't built in a day" thing regarding stratford. I fully agree with just the 378 and Class 66 freight services it would be empty compared to the real station. But with the hope of further GEML routes Stratford could be brought to life.

I agree this would feel a little barren but you have also got to consider other things like AI layers because some other trains aside from the 378 and the class 66 would also use the line possibly so non playable trains could also bring the extra atmosphere.

I'd say no unless we get Greater Anglia, which at the moment (and for the foreseeable future) isn't going to happen.

We have enough empty stations without adding more into the mix.

I agree a route has to be a viable one that does not feel lifeless unless you have other trains to fill in for a good timetable

Why does DTG making the GOBLIN now mean they won’t make the NLL? Surely they can add it in the future if they want

And with route-hopping now a thing, the probability of a shared station has just increased!

I looked at the new Cover art for TSW 5 it looks like the 710s might use the Bakerloo line as an AI overlay, I noticed during the Dev Stream 710s were parked up in a depot next to the bakerloo line

I would love the North and West London routes. I think that any London Overground route would be great except Romford to Upminster as that is extremely pointless and short

I love TSW5 due to adding Class 710 as an overground service on WCML but the 378 would also be a nice addition

The Liberty Line and Waterloo and City Line should probably come as a combined DLC for the memes.

I think the W&C Line would be quite fun in TSW, could do endless trips back and forth and the 1992TS is a cool train.

Not sure about 'fun', but it would certainly feel endless shuttling back and forth between those two stops.

I think the Class 378 London Overground would be great but it would make it perfect if it came with another London Overground route

An Update to this post I would like to thank the Developer behind the Mildmay Line for bringing the Class 378 to train sim in the New and Upcoming DLC, I really look forward to driving this train from Wilsden junction up to Stratford
