I've seen in the roadmap article that there will be an update to the MML (love you Skyhook) that will be, among other things, bringing guard mode to the 158. And this got me thinking about guard mode and the 43. I know that the MML has HST stopping diagrams when running between Nottingham and Leicester and I've seen the modelled guards room and door panels along the train and was just curious why it wasn't included as well? I am not complaining and absolutely love the fact that Skyhook are still updating their DLC not just leaving it behind (looking at no particular devs here lolol) and just thought that I'd heard guard mode was coming to the HST.... Unless that was the GWE remaster and I'm an idiot.
Guard Mode is coming for the GWE remaster. That said, I hope SHG add it too for their 43, and great idea about the guard rooms being opened up!
Ahh! The GWE remaster. I knew I'd heard it somewhere. It's very likely that once its implemented into GWE Skyhook will come back and patch it in - they've certainly established that they're going to look after the MML and it's an absolute gem of a route so I can see why.
That's what I'm thinking, and hoping. Don't know if SHGs HST is a different model etc., or if it is derived from the GWE one and so would have similar workings etc.
I don't recall ever seeing the guards room being modelled on the GWR HST coaches, but I think I recall seeing the wall panels. Unless it requires a stupid amount of work I believe (but won't be too upset if not) Skyhook'll do it. Man.... Skyhook and Just Trains are really holding UK content together.
It is amazing to think when it came out MML faced a lot of criticism over several issues, but thanks to Skyhook’s devotion to improving the route, it is now one the more highly regarded UK routes.
