Class 465 South-eastern

Discussion in 'Suggestions' started by dangerousdave, Jun 17, 2022.

  1. Are you guys at dtg aware that the class 465 regularly runs the full length of the line between London Victoria and ramsgate/Dover? Because apart from in the scenario menu I can't seem to find any runs between Faversham and Rochester in the services menu.

You see a few going past Gillingham in a day, predominantly they're 375s and 395s

  3. It's not uncommon to see 465s on the line, especially at the weekend. Even if there's only one a day we should still expect them in the services menu. I read the other day that se might be returning some 375s and 77s to southern, so we might even see a few more in service.

I don't agree with this, or really that they "regularly" run (they do about four daily services along the line and a few to depot)
But I don't think it's too helpful to put them on the line more than they are now.
Personally I would prefer they make the NKL or Orpington lines where they're very prevelant and leave the CML Thanet and Dover runs to the 375

  5. I have to disagree. When I pay for dlc I expect to be able to use it as it's intended. Atm there's no 465s running from Gillingham to cannon St or charing x yet they have them in the services menu. And there's 465s running between Vic and Dover and ramsgate yet there's none in the services menu. Thameslink run a service from Rainham to blackfriars which fair enough has been replaced with the 465.

Also you see 377s on the line but not available on tsw also.

I totally agree on the nkl. I've eagerly awaited for this line on tsc for years! But it never come. That's why it's one of my current projects on tsc.

    As intended by whom?

Cannon Street - should be in the morning and evening peaks yup (16 total services a day according to RTT)
Charing Cross - there's only one per day each way

They go via there to Luton, St Albans etc yup

The 377s (I think two of them) are in the blue livery so the only discernible difference is the green seats. I was on one from GLM a few weeks back

  7. As intended by me and should be intended by dtg. They are building this realistic train simulator and selling me dlc that isn't realistic at all if the trains don't go where they should and do go where they don't.

My son is a rail enthusiast we spend a lot of time on the Chatham mainline and nkl. I've not seen a 465 at Gillingham platform 1 for years. I've seen 375s depart from platform 1.

You're right there are a few services from Gillingham to London Bridge in the busy periods but I think they will be 375s. Could be wrong though.

Thameslink have cut services direct to Luton recently, one an hour in the busy periods but terminating at London Bridge throughout the day.

The 377s also have grey roofs and I believe are vinyl rapped instead of painted.

Then the 465 shouldn't have been released because it's doing runs it's NEVER (to my knowledge) done... the 465 has not served Rainham P0, that being exclusively Thameslink

Early morning and late evening are best for 465s parked on P1. I live 100 yards from the station and see them parked up there (and on the Gillingham siding out towards the depot) quite frequently

    OK, bit long...

The above is a site which lists and tracks trains in real time from network rail data. If you look at the linked page this is a Gillingham to Cannon Street service run this morning. If you look at the "Pathed as" listing you'll see it says EMU @ 90mph. This means it's pathed as a networker. A similar listing for an electrostar would say EMU @ 100mph
(Also I know from experience having lived in Gravesend before Gillingham that Electrostars only ever run ECS through there if at all. I don't recall ever seeing one)

I think that's either engineering works, or the upcoming strike. Standard service is running according to TL website and RTT

Didn't look that far. But they did have green seats and little else different (internally)

  9. Maybe it shouldn't have been released but the thing is the old networkers are a favourite among many enthusiasts. Its was highly welcomed by me and my son on tsw and in my opinion it still serves the line so its not like its not realistic. But as you say it don't run from Rainham p0 but hopefully that will be replaced with the class 700

It was announced a while ago that thamslink are cutting services due to low demand. Although it's in higher demand now corona is behind us.

Thanks for pointing out that the 465s still run from Gillingham along the nkl in the rush. My son will be most pleased. Helpful link too.

As for the 377s it's a slightly darker shade of blue and they are rapped. I guess this is so they can just remove the vinyl when returned to southern instead of repaints. I think the headlights and marker lights are different and my son pointed out the differences internally a while ago, but I can't remember what they was.

Well yeah, they're 30 year old ubiquitous commuter trains. But mainly "inner routes"
Hopefully they'll get a 700 license (they're owned in a very strange fashion) and then they might build another 465 heavy route (NKL or other) but there are obviously loads of bits of the UK not represented in game

Not sure on the lamps. I'll check next time I see one
