    the class 485 loco for the isle of wight set in the 1960's BR era or the 1980's Network southeast era can use the old isle of wight route

    Yes, after 1989/90. It would be nice to have the older version of the rolling stock on the island too. Maybe with a general revisiting of the first Isle of Wight DLC, updating it to TOD4 and other small improvements.

    Maaaayybe there could be a second DLC for the Bakerloo Line to have it as departmental stock?

    "A number of motor cars saw further service as departmental vehicles. 16 were used as ballast motor cars, and four were used as pilot motor cars."

    485 and 486 are a great suggestion but also Class 03 and 05 shunters to complete the line up. These, plus the existing 483 and 484 have all plied the island from the 1960s to today.

    I always found the look of these units to be fascinating. I would love to see an overhaul of the original version of the route with these, and possibly the steam railway. Isle of Wight has a ton of potential for such a short line.
