I found my old train set recently it was the Class 55 "Royal Scotts Grey" I would be amazing to have this class of Loco to play around with in TSW3 as that will bring back a lot of good nostalgia and it was super important in the rise of the Deltic.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_55

In terms of routes, it could be Midland Mainline or Tees Valley rather than a complete new route for it although that could be good it used to run LNER.

Anyway just a nice thought after finding my old train set of that very train again and remembering playing with that for hours as a kid. And have now been watching tons of YouTube videos if the 55 doing rail tours :).

At the moment, the 5 most suggested DLCs for TSW is: North Wales Coast Mainline, ECML, WCML, BR Class 55 and BR Class 50.. You are among loads of players who would love to see the Deltic come to the game including me.. I would personally love to see the Deltics be included in an ECML route set either in the early to mid 60s then we can have ex-LNER steam and BR Diesels or have it set in the 70s/80s towards the end of the Deltic's life on the mainline

Great suggestion mate! The Deltics are wonderful machines and would be nostalgia heaven for me, with Peterborough to Doncaster ECML. There aren't any routes currently where the Deltics would run, NTP and TVL are set after they were withdrawn and really you can't have the Deltics without a section of ECML! Brilliant suggestion mate!

Absolutely this. ECML in the steam/diesel transition would be superb, whichever section was chosen.
With a bit of artistic licence, the Deltics could be used on NTP as they did work some Trans Pennine services for a short while after being fully displaced by HST’s. However you’re not going to get them up to the ton between Manchester and Leeds!

I'd hope for several high res skins included if not a separate pack, with the base blue, br green, white cab br blue, Porterbrook purple.

I would love to see a Class 55 is the Finsbury Park BR Blue (aka BR Blue with White Cab surrounds) as that is my favourite Deltic livery

I love this idea and I am surprised that they haven’t included them because they were the new Flying Scotsman express engines in the BR era these were the engines of the future.

But I do think it should (even though people will buy the 55 by itself like me) be sold as a pack with other locomotive(s) now if I was DTG I would call it Thrash Theatre or Thrash Tempeans or something like that because Class 55 Deltic and many other diesels were know for there thrash.

    So I think maybe
    • Class 55 Deltic
    • A new Class 50/52
    • Class 42 Warhead
I know you’re saying to yourself “ANOTHER CLASS 52” but an updated class 52 would be nice because we have a 1972 condition and a Modern condition but that is for WSR and people are lazy like me and don’t want to make a whole scenario with trains that you barely see and it can include updated physics or a new class 50

No but seriously we need a Class 55

With what has been announced with TSW 4 I live in slightly more hope this now might happen and we get a Deltic on LNER!

One thought around this as well is there is the the Deltic Preservation Society https://www.thedps.co.uk/ I would be a wonderful link up for Dovetail to create the loco a route and involve them somehow so some of the profits from the DLC would go to them to keep these trains running!

So spilt the profits with the society and DTG and the public get their share with the 55

That does sound like the most reasonable and if that means to keep them running I would pay

I have suggested charity packs before, in particular for new build preservation projects such as 5BEL Trust, BRCW projects including Class 210 and projects for Baby Warship and Baby Deltic groups. This would raise the profile of these projects as well as raise some much needed donations. Then of course, we the players, would get to experience these long lost types. I really hope DTG look into future DLCs like this.
