The class 57 is a modified and re-engined version of the rather popular class 47, sharing components and the body shell between the two classes.

The class 57's are used for a wide range of services, differing from freight, passenger and rail tours. These are seen alot on quite a few routes that are already present in TSW. This locomotive would provide some more technical driving alongside genuine stop start services all in one. Below are the different variations of class 57's that could be represented.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    These are as follows:

57/0. Owned by heritage Locomotive companies. Predominantly used for rail tours and stock moves if heritage vehicles. They either head the services or provide power from the rear for steam or other heritage diesel locomotives.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
57/3. Owned by multiple operators from freight to passenger and heritage. These mainly are equipped with different headlight clusters and delner couplers. These were used for rescuing trains and previously, running in service with them. They are constantly being used for many different forms of services which makes them quite versatile.

57/6. Most of these are currently used by GWR on their flagship Sleeper service between London and Cornwall. These are like the 57/3's but without the delner couplers attachment. With the recent reintroduction of the GWR brand in game, this would make for a good locomotive pack. These were also used for daytime loco hauled services a few years back.

Being that the class 47 is already quite well represented in the game, I would imagine that it wouldn't take too much work to remodel a class 57. Again I could be wrong so feel free to correct me.

    Thanks for reading.

Also the 57 does not sound like a typical GM, has a much rougher and harsher exhaust note assuming DTG could get decent audio samples.

    Bring on the Bodysnatchers!

I did make a suggestion for the GWR Sleeper to be added into TSW

This has been long suggested. It would be superb, especially if there is anything GWR planned for TSW6 as well as for the GWE remaster. Day One purchase for me.
