PlayStation Class 66 Brakes

    Am I missing something? Do you just hold down L2 until you start slowing down, it takes ages for me to stop.

    Yes and it will slow down faster the longer you hold L2

    Ah okay, it's not very responsive at first though? Do I need to recharge the brakes too? Almost seems like the lapping brakes on the 101.

    Just hold L1 till they fully released then your good to go

    The brake pipe gauge needle will show 5 (vertical at the top) when the brakes are released.
    The more you apply it the closer to 0 it'll go and the harder braking

    That's not what you're meant to do. The red needle that moves on the brake gauge when pressing L1 or L2 is the target brake pressure (how much force will be applied) and the white needle is how much there actually is. You move the red needle to what pressure you want (it's been a while since I drove the 66 so I can't remember how much force each number is). Don't hold down L2 to slow down, you'll apply far too much braking force and come to a stop.
