Can anyone confirm if the way the tail light switch works in TSW is correct? When operating the tail light switch in the majority of trains, it's operating the lights at that cab. The tail light switch on the 66 operates the tail lights on the rear cab of the loco, which doesn't seem correct? If the engine was running light loco, and the driver had to change ends, the loco would be left with no lights on whilst changing cabs.
Tail lights are for the 'trailing cab'. So if you are in the lead cab, set this on for when you are light (no wagons attached) so you have tail lights. Walk around and check the rear cab from outside and see red lights. Am I right? Manual is here Page 14
Yeah, that's how it works in the game. I was more questioning if that's prototypical with real life. Normally, light switches only work locally for that cab. Would seem a little odd if you have to leave the loco with no tail lights on, whilst changing ends.
Just found the driver's manual here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...66-jt42cwr-locomotive-operators-manual.49250/ Looks as though the operation of the tail light switch is correct.
