It’s no secret that the UK freight rail scene is dead in Train Sim World. That’s why I think it would be great if we could get some new freight locos added as DLC’s instead of the overused class 66. I would personally love to see the class 68 or 88 in the game as I think they could help bulk up the freight scene. Or the class 99 or 93 could be added as this could help make more publicity about the trains and make them more well known. However I understand that the class 99 and class 93 are still in testing in real life so adding them in now wouldn’t make sense unless the route was set in the future. At this point any modern day freight loco being added would be amazing as it would enhance the freight scene so much more.

The Class 68 should have been included in the Nuclear Train DLC Pack. I agree that we need more British freight locos in game.

There's by my count at least 8 threads about this now. Granted that might be a nudge for DTG, but also... is anyone searching for topics before posting to see if something was already suggested? I agree the search field is pretty hard to see on the top right of the forum, but it does show up on every page.

Freight services are so neglected in TSW. We are about to enter the 6th rendition of the game and after the better part of a decade we still ONLY have the Class 66. Aside from the Stadler/Vossloh locomotives of the OP, there are multiple other types to choose from of various years for various UK routes. These include...
    Class 25 (BR Blue era)
    Class 31 (other variants)
    Class 56
Class 59 (unexplained when similar to Class 66)
    Class 60
    Class 67
    Class 69
    Class 70 (diesel)
    Class 90
    Class 92

Each and every one of the above are suitable for use on existing routes and it defies belief that none of them have been attempted by either DTG or a 3rd party developer. Hopefully TSW6 is where we really start to see at least a few of these missed opportunities developed.

Pretty sure it's not, both the text and the images only mentioned about the 20/3.

This discussion has been had over and over and over on other threads too, and we even went into each of the locos above individually.

Got to say I am sick of the class 66 now. In fact it's such shame that most routes dont have expansion dlc for other traction and rolling stick on the routes. The best I have found is Just Trains Preston/ Blackpool and Preston/Carlisle routes and they added class 86 and more to the routes in fact with the pacers, 86, 87 and the use of class 47s and 08 drinks in the timetable its so close to reality
