Just did a night run on WCML South in the class 710. Everything was fine until the weather changed to fog about half-way through. Then the entire screen turned into a blinding white glow, making it impossible to see anything outside the cab windscreen. Is the class 710 using ToD3 lighting, and it doesn't play nice with ToD4 on WCML South? Are the headlights on the class 710 just set too bright? Either way, it makes using the class 710 at night impossible with dynamic weather enabled.
This is not true. TOD4 is when the lighting changed to what it is now (from TSW3 onwards). TOD3 was the old dark lighting used in TSW2. There’s a huge difference in the two.
Do you mean that the headlights block your view of the track ahead? Like in the picture in the bottom left? The class 710 is using TOD4 lighting and if this is the issue you're seeing then it'll happen on the Suffragette Line too. I maintain that it's probably prototypical but I've not had any experience on the railways and minimal experience of being in a car in thick fog.
How bright are the 710 headlights in real life? Bright lights do tend to reflect a lot in fog. What happens if you turn on just marker lights instead? I don't usually play in fog if I can help it because it's not what I consider fun gameplay.
There's far too much fog in the current game. It's not realistic and it spoils the driving experience, particularly at night. Someone at DTG has a thing for fog. I wonder who it is? I have it set to minimum in settings, I don't use dynamic weather and yet it still shows up. Very annoying.
