I am suggesting the BR Class 73 in GB Railfreight livery for Train Sim World 3.

The British Rail Class 73 is a British electro-diesel locomotive. The type is unusual in that it can operate from the Southern Region's 650/750 V DC third-rail or an on-board diesel engine to allow it to operate on non-electrified routes.

This unit is mainly seen operating RHTT duties in and around the South East which can been seen on East Coastway, Southeastern Highspeed and London Commuter. It would obviously be available on scenario planner and other RHTT compatible routes such as Birmingham Cross City.

These units were built by English Electric, Vulcan Foundry between 1965 and 1967 making these locos classed as a classic by many train fans

If you would like to see this iconic locomotive in train sim world 3 then like the post to show DTG that we want this in the game. Thank you

this would be a great addition as it’s actually realistic to use on SEHS unlike the 66 (atleast it’s mostly 73s)

It could also be the class 73/1 and 73/2 as they also use those as well as the 73/9

In all, it is a very good suggestion and I would love to see in TSW3 as it is my favourite electro-diesel locomotive. Plus, it has a lovely horn like the deltic and class 201 'thumper' (6S)

I need that tbh. The 73 is perfect to be in TSW3. Maybe in a EWS livery because licensing?

Well the class 73 would be great as a new loco of a new route, or as a loco dlc with a true purpose in a route.

Just "wasting" it on a rhtt train wouldnt be a good choice in my opinion relating to the complexity of the loco.
If Dtg ever goes with a 73, only if they can create the type in a "advanced" standard, else they should let their fingers off that.

Probably it takes a while to get this into tsw, dtg would have to implement the dc third rail & diesel functionality. On top its really not a "simple" loco with all other technical features etc.

I’d take any 73 to be honest. Preferably a /1 or /2 but I’d even take a /9. Classic southern region loco and still a common sight across the south

Looks interesting! If accompanied by additional scenarios and timetable services (which could also be driven by the Class 66), I'd buy this add-on engine.
