    Hi all,

How do you switch between diesel and 25kv a/c overhead electric power modes on the Class 802?

So far on routes with no overhead wires, if I try to switch from diesel to electric I am unable to raise the pantograph.

I created a custom scenario on an electrified route (WCML South) and the pantograph was already raised.

    Many thanks in advance.

I managed to do it on ECML in free roam. Put reverser in neutral, held down the pan up button (right side of the cab under the screen) until the pantograph went up. Then held down the electric button right above that for a few seconds. Seemed to be on electric after that.

Then to go the other way it seems to work by pressing the diesel button, then dropping panto.

Not sure if thats the official sequencing or anything but it works.

If DTG cared much for their customers they'd have provided a manual so you'd be able to find out without needing to ask on a forum. There's also no DTG provided guidance on how to create a TSW Free Roam Scenario that I've ever been able to find. In TSW 5 there was an entry in the Training Centre that promised help on the creative functions but that for the Scenario Planner only ever said "No content yet, check back soon". I see that in TSW6 they've got rid of that section all together, talk about taking the easy way out!

They should have covered in the Training Centre, maybe as a second scenario.

I’m guessing the reason it isn’t covered in any of the training is because it’s not something that’s required on the route… since it stays in diesel mode… but I agree the manuals need a come back. At least TSG and JT don’t muck that up.
