My suggestion relates to the age old problem of freight in uk people have long been complaining about the reuse of class 66 therefore my proposal is to have the GBRF CoCo class 99 which is a new diesel/AC train the uk’s most powerful locomotive
Attached below is a link to the green signals video that explains the details better than I ever could I’d also appreciate people’s views

The 75 mph (120 km/h) locomotive has a maximum tractive effort of "up to" 500 kN (110,000 lbf), and a power rating of 6,170 kW (8,270 hp) in electric mode.[3] These figures exceed those of the diesel-powered British Rail Class 66.

It is fitted with the AWS and TPWS safety systems, and is planned to be fitted with ETCS. It has cameras providing views of the pantographs, shunting zones and the front of the locomotive.[4]

    Diesel performance
    edit
The Class 99 locomotive has a 16-cylinder 1,790 kW (2,400 hp) Cummins QSK50 engine installed, which meets Stage 5emissions standards. The locomotives are expected to use HVO biofuels in service, and will be able to raise and lower its pantograph while moving.[3][5]

Peter Dearman, an expert in traction electrification,[6] reported in Rail Engineer in early 2023 that the Class 99 may only be able to deliver 1,600 kW (2,100 hp) at the rail in diesel mode.[7] However, this was before the first production locomotive was exhibited at InnoTrans in September 2024.[3]

The chief executive of GBRf, John Smith, reports that the Class 99 will outperform the Class 66 at low speeds, despite having a less powerful diesel engine. The greater tractive effort means that the Class 99 on diesel power can deliver more power at the rail than the 66.[8][failed verification] The less powerful diesel engine is also not expected to change its use cases, and will be deployed on heavy haul routes and intermodal trains.[5]
This would fit into tsw nicely for people who like freight as due to design can run on routes with Ac OHLE and with none on diesel mode so would be a nice addition for freight fans alike plus it has ability to couple and drive the class 66 and vice versa these are manufactured by Stadler rail in Valencia

Yep and the cool thing is is it’s fit into tsw because it doesn’t replace the class 66 if people don’t want it to as it can couple to the class 66 and drive a 66 or be driven from class 99 itself plus because of its AC/Diesel it literally offers unlimited gameplay for fans of freight and 66 alike

"Expected to enter service by the end of 2025"
So... it's not even in service yet.
Meanwhile people already complain if locos are just one year out of date.
How would this run on any routes existing since it's not a working locomotive yet in reality?

If you want a 66 alternative, there are plenty of suggestions already out there that are in service and could be used.
Can't really use one that doesn't exist on the rails yet.

I think it's a little soon to have the 99 but otherwise, good shout!

Because if you watch the video you will see that the trains themselves exist the one on the video being only one of a number and at end of the day the class 99 is the only alternative in existence replacing 66 as nothing else from any other companies

The reason the 99 coming in is because like with buses the emissions are not compatible in today’s standards hence why only the new trains been sought out because rolling stock is that decrepit there’s nothing in existence suitable for replacement of 66’s

    You're wrong on both counts.
They are not "in service" (as I said) so being a test prorotype doesn't mean they are realistic to have running trains.Doesn't go on any route in game because if they show up next year... no route is from next year.

Second, it's entirely your opinion that "everything else is decrepit." You are proposing a train that's not in service. If you wait a couple years you might be able to say it goes on a future route but it doesn't exist IN SERVICE for any route.

"Old and decrepit" is still better than "not in service."

As I said, people have made better suggestions to replace the 66 that actually are in service, or have been recently. People argue over headlights, tone of paint and seat thread counts here. How many do you think would complain about a fantasy train time traveling?

We want...we need :) Shiney and New, but won't TSW crash if you even try to replace the class 66? :)
