No achievements / trophies are being carried over from TSW4, which hopefully means we will get back to the wider variety of achievements seen in TSW2, and more importantly this should mean loco DLCs get achievements again. And yes, I know not everyone likes achievements, but there are literally dozens of us who do.
Let's see what we get. Hope more than 3 each route. But I'm happy not to do scenario and trainins again which I did in TSW2 2 times (PS4/5), TSW3 and TSW4
That's the nice thing about achievements, though. They are optional. For those that like achievements, you have them. For those like me who don't care, we ignore them. Everybody wins!

I am back here after a long time since TSW2. I quit after completing TSW2020 and 2. I got annoyed they didn't put any effort in their achievements and I didn't want to spend more time re-doing them for the same old routes for TSW 3 and 4. (Among a few other quircks. It seems a bit weird they don't save to Dovetail Live like levels and mileage do, saving the hassle of doing them all over when we get a new version of TSW, but ah well. They're not really important to me either way so no skin off my nose. Just seems weird. Do they disappear if you remove a game from your library and then download it again too? Or just with version changes?

it annoys me cajon pass is getting achievements again! I think it may be to do with its inclusion in tsw5 features like route hopping!
I'm sorry, but this is some top level douchebaggery from DTG. Let's review what they said in the TSW5 FAQ: Can anyone point to a single brand-new achievement in the TSW5 collection? Because all I can see are very old achievements.
Shame the core list is the same but appreciate there being more route specific ones than the 3 per route we got in TSW3/4.
I am hoping beyond hope that the list of achievements we saw are not the real ones. Is there any official source for achievements at this point?
All the source websites do is grab whatever has been pushed live to Xbox, there isn't any chance they are incorrect, although there is nothing to stop DTG from changing them all before launch, but seems unlikely at this point. https://www.trueachievements.com/game/Train-Sim-World-5/achievements?filter=1 You might have to press the filter button on the above website and select 'all' for DLCs.
its disgraceful since the old achievements are being removed they have plenty of room for loco achievements now. probably dont want the risk of loads of broken achievements they wont ever fix
Another copy and paste job this year on the base achievements I see. Achievement/Trophy hunters will be happy.
They really used their imagination with that list. It’s going to be so much fun unlocking the Platinum Trophy.
Yeah and there a real hassle to get because of how far they are in-between stops, freight routes shouldn't have collectibles
When I did it in the previous iteration, it took me between 6 and 7 hours. Luckily, I imported my profile from TSW4, did the route introduction, picked up the map collectable amd boom. The collectable trophy for TSW 5 Cajon Pass popped. Never been so happy
Can anyone confirm if CJP: Pass Out (complete 10 services) can be unlocked? I've done a service and I see no progress. Currently doing the ES44C4 training module, to unlock CJP: Passing Grade. I forgot how annoying the "storytelling grandpa" was... UPDATE: I was able to unlock all CJP achievements. Again!
Agreed commuter routes fine, but freight routes take such a long time to get the collectables its not fun
