I believe I was doing the CRR 92 service. About 15-20 minutes in, I went outside and tried to go to the back of the train, holding down the right stick to move the camera back there. The sound loaded, then began looping really fast, then my Xbox shut off. At least I’d saved the game, but when I went to load the save, the train didn’t work, no power was applied and it braked immediately. The bell was activated on the rear loco, so I suspect it loaded in with the controls set to that loco. I believe the crash was caused by a memory shortage, since a similar thing has happened on SPG, another route requiring lots of memory for long trains. My suggestion would be to focus on improving memory optimization for older consoles. The save issue I’m not sure about.
I had the issue on Sand Patch Grade too. Trains will be so long that the game has to display a loading screen to load up the tile at the other end (if you switch from front camera to rear camera). Doing this a few times on my Xbox normally causes the sudden shutdown of the console. It is best to move the free camera manually along the train to avoid this issue.
Yeah, that's what I'm doing now. Takes a bit longer but it's not that bad. Hopefully they can work on optimization more in the near future.
