I assume the task is to split off the front half of the train, and run it round to the back putting the locos in the middle? I believe the 4th step is wrong and the points are not set to run around after completing the 5th step. After completing the first 3 steps, ie: uncoupling trucks or breaking the consist in half and moving them forward before pulling out on to the main line, the 4th step is to uncouple those trucks you've just moved forward. While you are rewarded for uncoupling the front half of the consist, the game insists on coupling the trucks you just uncoupled. Meaning you drive out the front 20 cars onto the main. With a bit of effort you can persist the uncoupling and only drive the 3 loco's out, although it doesn't make sense why you need to travel so far down the main line for just 3 locos. However it doesn't matter if you drive out 3 locos onto the main line, or with half the train consist because when you go to reverse and run around the back half consist you left behind, you can't as the points on the branch line are not set to run around and are automatic so you can't manually overried either.
I could not find any problems in Nora Turn Part 2, the service works as intended. You uncouple 21 cars, pull ahead to clear the manual switches, then uncouple the remaining 20 cars. After that you contact the dispatcher and drive the 3 SD40 to the next stop which is behind a signal. The signal is already yellow and also the automatic switch is set correctly to reverse and pass the front part of the train to the next stop. There you set both manual switches and couple to the rear part of the train, the last step is to couple to the front part of the train which successfully completes the service. It is not necessary to pass the rear part of the train at any time, nor to take any cars with you onto the main line. At the end of the service, the 3 SD40s will be between the two parts of the train, the rear part coupled to the rear SD40 and the front part coupled to the front SD40.
The service does not work as intended, because after the 2nd instruction to uncouple, it immediately re-couples to the locos.
It may be a loco setting such as unit selector or rotair that is causing it; but if there is a way to prevent the 20 vehicles from re-coupling immediately to the locos, I would be glad to hear it.
Try the locos cutbar instead of the wagon cutbar, I do not remember having this problem. Will look again later in the evening and report.
That absolutely worked; thank you! I went down the opposite side of the train and used the loco cutbar, and the cars did not re-couple to the locos. I will keep this solution in mind, because I have also seen this re-couple bug on Sand Patch and Oakville as well. Thanks again!
