Hi all hope you all keeping safe and well, has anyone had any problems with McClure shifter part one train starts off on a 1.2 incline with no brakes working and the engine shut down. Thanks
The brakes are unfortunately released when starting the service. Quickly adjust the MU-2A valve to Lead or Dead and hammer on the independent brake to stop. The engine was not shut off for me. It usually can‘t be shut off at the start of a service due to service mode AI restrictions.
Just to add to Lamplight's suggestion: it's pitch dark, so turn on the cab light immediately or you'll never find the MU2A valve!
