Apologies if this has already been asked (Google hasn't shown me any previous discussion of my question).

My question is, is it OK to clone a route, delete like 80-90% of the route but use the remaining 10-20% as part of a wider route you are doing and ultimately publish on the Workshop (for free)?

I'm doing a route that doesn't already exist apart from the bit between Clapham Junction and Waterloo and to be honest I don't want to go to all the hassle of creating that bit from scratch and was hoping that I could clone the PDL route and then delete everything south of Clapham Junction.

I know I can do this for my own personal use, but was wondering it wouldn't be allowed if it was to go on the Workshop.

EDIT: I didn't realise I've posted this in the 'General Discussion' section - if a mod could move it, that would be greatly appreciated!

Just to add, it is important to understand that third party assets ( scenery, track etc. etc . ) are not allowed when publishing routes on the Workshop, only those available on Steam can be used.....when posting on the Workshop a check is made and if anything non-Steam is found you will receive a message accordingly and the upload will terminate.
