I’m not very good at making threads so I’ll just get started before something goes wrong… Coaster - Santa Fe Depot to Oceanside! I would like to recommend this route only by my knowledge of coaster. I’ll like to see this join the ranks because of its scenery, history and quality. I rode a service once before and it was great. The ride was smooth (for the most part), rememberable by its stops and “scenarios”. This route has 8 stops. Coaster, Amtrak and freight somewhat running along the line, I feel this route would be a lot more fun and immersive knowing we gotta stop for other trains to pass at sidings, also with a wide variety of trains passing by. Service extension to Camp Pendleton, and additional stations at the Convention Center and the Del Mar Racetrack for use only in special events would’ve been nice too. With that aside I personally enjoyed the train rides and Quality of their services. Possible DLC… I know this has been a big Loco/Route request already so I won’t go too deep. Amtrak Surfliner… I’m really only suggesting this for giving the opportunity to have even more immersion in playing with this route, along with more service opportunity. Most routes… sorry I mean most US routes you'll always see the same train over and over, but one train you almost see on every commuter or long distance rail is Amtrak. I also see this as another opportunity for more Amtrak rolling stock. However, as a person who is a big fan of Amtrak services, I won’t go into why I believe Amtrak isn’t the best option right now. I’ll save freight for another day… P.S, I am just going off of my information of coaster.
Adding Coaster to a Pacific Surfliner route would be a good idea. The Siemens Charger is a must-have locomotive for me.
