Can anyone explain the codes that are present after, for example, the loco description when viewed in the Asset list in TS Tools? An example would be Class 175 DMSL. There is also DMOCL, DMOS, MSRMB etc. I understand ND means No Driver but no clue as to the rest. Thanks.

    You’ll find a lot here:

    http://ftp.sasolchevron.com/page/Glossary

A lot of these have standard meanings:

    D - driving
    M - motor
    O - open
    C - composite
    K - corridor
    B - brake
    S - standard

Thus: DMOCL(W) = Driving Motor Open Composite, with Lavatory (Wheelchair accessible).
    • Class 220
      • DMF (Driving Motor First)
      • MS (Motor Standard)
      • MSRMB (Motor Standard Restaurant Miniature Buffet)
      • DMSL (Driving Motor Standard Luggage)
    • Class 221
      • DMF (Driving Motor First)
      • MS (Motor Standard)
      • MS (Motor Standard)
      • MSRMB (Motor Standard Restaurant Miniature Buffet)
      • DMSL (Driving Motor Standard Luggage)

As Inversnecky says each letter stands for a particular character of that coach e.g. M = Motor D= Driving etc.
